We are the Yoyuu team - a brand of menstrual underwear, cloth pads,
and minimalist lingerie.

Yoyuu is comfortable underwear and basic clothing made from cotton jersey.
We use "penye" quality jersey, which is smooth and pleasant to the touch, made from long cotton fibers. The quality of each fabric is confirmed by an EAC certificate, and strict technical designers oversee the production process.

We searched for a word that would be visually appealing and align with our message. The Japanese word Yoyuu, which conveys "a sense of readiness, the ability to accept whatever awaits us, a moment to take a break, calmness, balance, and inner confidence" - fits perfectly. It's fortunate that the word ends with two "U"s, resembling a female breast. It's pronounced "yo-yu" and written without spaces.

The project was created by two friends, Olesya and Katya.
"We've been friends since we were 13 and have always done things together. We decided in childhood that we would have a joint venture. Before this, we were involved in design, photography, and video, which greatly helped in creating Yoyuu. The official launch date of the brand was September 17, 2018, but the development of the first models, supplier search, and team building started much earlier.
Yoyuu was born because we dreamed of underwear that would be perfect in every way: quality, fabrics, design, and concept. So, it all started with our own needs."

"From the very beginning, the idea was to create comfortable and minimalist underwear. However, with the introduction of absorbent panties and pantyliners, it became important for us to show that menstruation is not taboo, but rather our superpower. Understanding our bodies and how they work is also crucial. We strive to promote realistic representations of the female body and its functions."

• It all starts with design. Model development with a pattern maker, adjustments, creating patterns for each size - all to ensure that our bralettes fit comfortably and look perfect on various body types. This is a time-consuming and resource-intensive process.
• We use high-quality fabrics. We searched for suppliers and good fabrics for a long time and eventually settled on imported jersey - a durable cotton knit with a small amount of elastane.
• We sew in good conditions on modern professional sewing machines and pay fair wages. Ordering lingerie production from Chinese factories would be cheaper, but it's important for us to create lingerie in ethical working conditions.
• We comply with certification rules. Our lingerie has EAC certificates that confirm its quality and safety.

The price of our underwear is determined by these and other factors. Surprisingly, purchasing high-quality lingerie turns out to be more cost-effective, as one comfortable bralette brings more joy than a box of ill-fitting bras bought impulsively due to a sale.
